He’s followed by the Poet Laureate; a representative from the BBC Trust; and… well, the High King’s bard and faithful chronicler.

That would be me, of course. Hello.

Dale’s the name I like to go by, although these days people keep expecting me to use what’s on my birth certificate instead. I’m kind of duty-bound to tag along to these ceremonial things, so I can tell people about them afterwards – and this time, what with oral storytelling being basically a bard’s job spec, the Pendragon was most insistent.
